Banff Ski Trip
(2-14-99)
Sunshine Village Ski Resort
Most of Sunshine's skiing is above the treeline. You need to ride the gondala from the parking area to the base Village area which takes about 20mins.. You can drop off at Goat's Eye Mt. (expert area)about half way up the gondala or ride through to the base area in the middle of the valley. From there you can ski the whole area 360 degrees surounding the base village. We found the terrain to be mostly rolling, groomed cruising with the harder runs over at Goat's Eye.
Goat's Eye Mountain
Goat's Eye was added to Sunshine a few years ago and is mostly advanced terrain with a few Intermediate runs.
"Delirium Dive"
This area is for the truly insane, double diamond plus.
Shawn at the Terrain Park
The people at Sunshine did a great job in building thier "Terrain Park" with a good variety of jumps , bumps and spines, all with numbered difficulty ratings.

Lake Louise Resort
Here is Lake Louise Ski Resort (its a good thing its not crowded) there are alot less people on the upper mountain. This is a great place to ski and board, a huge area but very cold in mid Feb.
This was our favorite in the Banff area. There is the front side, the back side, and another mountain face beyond with breathtaking veiws of the Rockies.
